Vera Kuhnke, MSc
Research Assistant

Background & expertise
My background is in Neurobiology, I studied Biomedical Sciences and did a research masters in Fundamental Neuroscience. I have looked into the role of glia in Schizophrenia and later on studied calcium signalling and G-protein coupled proteins in the genetic white matter disease MLC (which is actually very comorbid with neuropsychatric conditions!).
Why BlinkLab
While I am still fascinated by fundamental research, I now feel my work has a lot more impact! Contributing to research and hopefully being able to help people with neuropsychiatric conditions and/or mental health concerns is very important to me personally. At BlinkLab I can combine my research background with my interest for mental health research and my passion for sports!
My Role
I joined BlinkLab in September 2025 as a Research Assistant. On a daily basis I test kids for our ADHD study and manage the study site in Rotterdam. I am also exploring new directions for BlinkLab in regards to Sports & Lifestyle.
