Irene Bernardi
Junior Full Stack Data Scientist

Background & expertise
I have a joint master degree in data science and neuroscience. For my master thesis, I analyzed data from wearable devices to explore heart rate variability modulations in adults at risk of cognitive decline.
Why BlinkLab
I’ve always been interested in using technology to answer complex healthcare questions. When I came across BlinkLab, I realized the company was genuinely moving the field of developmental diagnostics forward. It felt like the type of challenge that’s difficult to solve but extremely gratifying at the same time, and I knew I would get a lot of satisfaction from joining it.
My Role
I joined in October 2025 as a Junior Full Stack Data Scientist. In my day-to-day, I work together with the rest of the Dev Team to refine and improve our models. For example, we brainstorm ways to enhance existing features or review literature that points to promising new ones. It’s a very creative job, and it’s super rewarding to see our ideas turn into tangible impact for BlinkLab.
