Thesis: "Deciphering Anxiety: The Predictive Power of Brain Oscillations in DMT-Induced Altered States of Consciousness".

Investigated the role of brain oscillatory dynamics in predicting anxiety in the context of altered states of consciousness induced by N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), as well as examining how DMT influences anxiety levels before and after the experience. Using electroencephalography (EEG) recordings collected before and during the DMT experience, combined with machine learning models, the study analyzes frequency-specific oscillatory patterns and their spatial distributions across the cortex. By relating neural activity measured prior to and during DMT exposure to anxiety assessments obtained pre- and post-experience, the work aims to identify neural biomarkers associated with both acute anxiety responses and longer-lasting changes in anxiety following psychedelic exposure.

What excites me most about BlinkLab’s purpose is its commitment to turning neuroscience and neurotechnology into tools that can make a tangible difference in people’s lives. I was drawn to the opportunity to work at the intersection of brain data, computational methods, and mental health. An area where my training and interests strongly align in a setting that values both scientific depth and innovation.

I joined BlinkLab in July 2025, and I work as a Junior Full-Stack Data Scientist, where my responsibilities span the full data pipeline from data processing and analysis to model development and integration. On a daily basis, I clean and preprocess datasets, support the development and evaluation of machine-learning models, and contribute to building and maintaining data workflows and analytical tools.
